Costs

As an idea of how much things cost- (all of our strays get the following):

160EC ($60 USD) buys puppies and kittens their primary course of vaccines (3) and a rabies vaccine.

125EC-375EC ($50-$140 USD) is the range of price it costs to spay or neuter cats and dogs.

120EC-140EC ($50-$60 USD) is how much it costs for a Bravecto tablet which treats flea, ticks and mites (including mange) for 3 months.

Here are few of the cases we have been working on recently that have relied on your generous donations.

Tallulah

Here is wonderful Tallulah, she was found roaming in bad condition. She has demodex mange, so she has had a Bravecto, is being bathed in medical shampoo, and being fed all the treats she wants. She is recovering and gaining energy so she can have vaccines, get spayed and get ready for adoption for her forever home.

We estimate it will cost the GSPCA 900EC ($333 USD) to treat, rehabilitate and feed Tallulah for the next few months to give our generous donators an idea of where their money goes.

Update: Tallulah found her forever home!

Cecil

On the left is Cecil the day he was found. As you can see he was severely emaciated, which may have been a result from his broken jaw, and obvious neglect. His joints were swollen, likely as a result from severe inflammation from tick fever and other parasites. It was touch and go for Cecil, who was a very scared and nervous boy! Through intense medical intervention and a lot of love and care Cecil turned a corner, that no one expected he could turn. Through this scary tome, head vet Fleur fell in love with Cecil and adopted him!  On the right is Cecil over Christmas where he's clearly having a lot of TLC post flight to ENGLAND!!!

Dora

This is Dora and her many puppies, GSPCA is always incredibly busy, but the last few months have been the busiest on record. This means they are severely over capacity, as they will never turn a dog or cat in need down. The team at GSPCA work tirelessly to think outside the box and come up with creative ways to look after as many animals as possible. GSPCA has a good relationship with shelters in America, and this lucky lot got sent to start a new life there!

Frost

Frost came in very unwell, he is now back to health and up for adoption.
